It is expressed in myeloid hematopoietic cells, vascular endothelium and neurons and regulates cell adhesion and extravasation. FES contains F-BAR, SH2 and kinase domains. The F-BAR domain contains coiled-coil homo-oligomerization and microtubule binding sequences.
