It is ubiquitously expressed and through its repression of c-Myc transcription, blocks cell proliferation. Human THAP11 is 314 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains a DNA-binding THAP zinc-finger domain (aa 5-81), an NLS (aa 98-104), a polyGln region (aa 104-146), an Ala-rich segment (aa 197-221) and a C-terminal coiled-coil region (aa 255-305).
