Vav2 is comprised of several domains including: a CH domain, a DH domain, a PH domain, and SH2 domain, two SH3 domains, and a phorbol-ester/DAG-type zinc finger domain. Studies have demonstrated Vav2 to be a critical component in angiogenesis, and that its activation via RPHA2 phosphorylation is necessary to the activation of EFNA1-induced RAC1 GTPase.
