In general, recombinant proteins can be used as protein standard and in cell biology research applications.This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Gln 531) of influenza A virus, subtype H5N1 (A/Vietnam/1203/2004), HA (AAW80717.1) fused to the polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of mouse IgG1 at the C-terminus. The protein has its cleavage site mutated (RERRRKKR to TETR), therefore, the HA1 and HA2 subunits remain uncleaved. Activity: This recombinant protein has not been tested.Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween-80.Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
