Biotin-conjugated immunoglobulin buffered in PBS (pH 7.2) with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA.

Usage

This reagent is useful as an isotype control for indirect immunofluorescence staining of human tissue for flow cytometric analysis using 20 ml/106 cells. Since applications vary, however, each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.

Preparation and Storage

Preparation: The immunoglobulin is purified from tissue culture supernatant by Protein G affinity chromatography and is conjugated with biotin under optimum conditions.Storage: Store conjugate at 4° C. Do not freeze.

Caution

Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
