The antibody was obtained by immunization of sheep with immunoglobulin Fc g-fragments from rabbit. The F(ab')2 fragments are obtained by pepsin cleavage and conjugated to digoxigenein-3-O-succinyl-e-aminocaproic acid-N-hydroxy-succinimide ester (digoxigenin) and stabilized in buffer. PURIFICATION: The sheep-lgG was purified by ion exchange chromatography. Cross-reacting antibodies were removed by affinity chromatography using human-Ig coupled to solid phase. The specific antibody was then isolated by further affinity chromatography on rabbit IgG.
